Smith Gambrell Russell Represents Big V Property Group in Acquisition of Southpark Meadows I & II Shopping Center in Austin, Texas

ATLANTA (October 24, 2022) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that the Firm served as legal counsel to Big V Property Group (Big V) in its acquisition of Southpark Meadows I & II Shopping Center in Austin, Texas. The acquisition is Big V’s first in Austin, its fifth property in Texas, and the second largest shopping center in its more than 9.5 million-square-foot portfolio.

Located in South Austin off I-35, Southpark Meadows is an open-air shopping center with nearly one million square feet of retail. Southpark Meadows offers a diverse tenant roster of national retailers, including Target, Best Buy, JCPenny, Old Navy, Ulta Beauty, Bath and Body Works, Starbucks, and Walmart, along with numerous local retailers. The shopping center also includes The Grove Within Southpark Meadows, an oak tree-filled central gathering area with a stage for live music, a large playscape for kids, and outdoor seating for leisure and dining. Big V has plans to upgrade the shopping center during an extensive capital improvement project over the next few years.

SGR has advised Big V Property Group on a variety of shopping center related matters.
