ATLANTA (January 14, 2019) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce the addition of A.J. Rollins, Darren G. Rowles, Brandon E. Sherlinski, and Kristen L. Wenger to its partnership effective January 1, 2019.

“We are excited to elect four deserving attorneys to the firm’s partnership,” said Stephen Forte, SGR’s chairman and managing partner. "They demonstrate the utmost commitment to serving their clients and possess exemplary skill within their respective practices.”

Anthony J. Rollins is a Partner in SGR’s Atlanta Tax Practice. Mr. Rollins focuses on representing individuals and businesses in day-to-day operations, tax planning, and tax controversies. He has appeared on behalf of his clients before the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeal, as well as the U.S. Tax Court, several U.S. District Courts, and Georgia Supreme Court. He also has extensive experience working with the IRS and the Georgia Department of Revenue. Mr. Rollins is currently a member of the Atlanta Tax Forum and has an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Away from work, he serves as a member of the Children’s Education Committee at Glenn United Methodist Church.

Darren G. Rowles is a Partner in the firm’s Atlanta Construction Law Practice, where he represents clients in all aspects of civil and construction litigation. Mr. Rowles has significant experience drafting and reviewing design and construction contracts and providing advice in connection with contract administration and conflict avoidance for construction projects. He also assists clients with environmental due diligence matters, particularly with respect to the redevelopment of environmentally impacted property. Mr. Rowles serves as co-counsel for the Georgia Utility Contractors Association (GUCA), as a member of the Program Committee of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), and as an active member of the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP).

Brandon E. Sherlinski is a Partner in SGR’s Jacksonville Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Practice and practices in all major areas of employee benefits, executive compensation, and ERISA. Mr. Sherlinski concentrates on advising clients on the implantation, administration, and correction of both qualified plans and nonqualified deferred compensation plans, the design and implementation of equity and equity based plans for corporate and non-corporate entities, and health and welfare matters. He also has significant experience advising on executive compensation and employee benefits matters in connection with mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Sherlinski is a member of the Florida Bar, the Tax Sections of both the Florida Bar and the American Bar Association, and the Order of the Coif.

Kristen L. Wenger is a Partner in the firm’s Jacksonville Litigation Practice. Ms. Wenger has experience in class actions and complex commercial litigation involving insurance matters, deceptive business practices, and consumer fraud. Some of her areas of practice include defense of class actions on behalf of insurers, business entities, and management for alleged improper business practices. Ms. Wenger is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association and its Holiday Project Committee, the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association. She is also an active member of the Florida Guardian ad Litem Program, the Junior League of Jacksonville, and the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville, where she is a member of its Discovery Circle.
