Turning complex employee benefits, executive compensation and tax regulations into clear guidance, enabling practical solutions
About Brandon
Brandon E. Sherlinski practices in all major areas of employee benefits, executive compensation, and ERISA. His specific areas of concentration focus on the tax and regulatory aspects of nonqualified deferred compensation and incentive plans, including 409A compliance and implementation of administration of such plans, and correction of plan errors, as well as advising clients on the creation and administration of equity and equity-based (including phantom equity) plans for corporate and non-corporate entities. Brandon also has significant experience advising clients on executive compensation and employee benefits matters in connection with mergers and acquisitions, including post-closing employee benefit plan integration. Whether clients need guidance on a straightforward question involving an existing plan or are considering a comprehensive redesign, Brandon advises on aligning executive compensation programs with broader business objectives. He works closely with clients to translate strategic goals into thoughtfully structured, tax‑compliant plan designs that are both practical and sustainable.
In addition to his full-time law practice, Brandon donates his time to Hubbard House, a full-service certified domestic violence center in Jacksonville, Florida. He served as Board President in 2023, and a board member from 2020-2026, and continues to serve on several committees following his Board term. In addition, he is co-leader of its auxiliary organization, Men Against Violence Against Women (MAVAW).
When he is not working, he is usually working out—Brandon is an avid runner, trail runner, and obstacle course racer, ranging from local 5k and 10ks to multiple Spartan Ultras, having raced in many venues across the U.S. and even in the Swiss Alps.
