About Christina

Christina Faltermeier is a dually qualified, crossborder trained attorney with extensive experience in intellectual property, privacy, and corporate law, with a particular focus on patent, trademark, IP technology law, and e-commerce law. Her expertise also extends to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and antitrust law.

She advises startups and emerging companies as well as established businesses, providing pragmatic, costefficient, and tailored legal solutions aligned with each clients commercial objectives. Known for her handson approach and fresh perspective on traditional legal frameworks, Christina works closely with her clients to deliver clear, businessfocused advice. She is fluent in English and German, advanced in French, and has a basic working knowledge of Spanish and Norwegian.

She has substantial experience in both transactional work and litigation, including drafting and negotiating agreements, as well as representing matters in court. Christina is qualified in the U.S. and in Germany and has extensive civil and common law work experience in the U.S., Australia, and Germany, giving her a strong international perspective.

Prior to joining SGR, she worked at several renowned national and international law firms, and has lived and worked in New York, Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, and Sydney. Following her LL.M., Christina volunteered with the New York State Courts Access to Justice Program, where she gained hands-on experience litigating in U.S. courts.

  • Reviewing and drafting terms of use, data privacy policies, cookie policies and other data-privacy/E-commerce related documents (both U.S./German/EU).
  • Conducting due diligence for mid-size and larger companies across all industries (Tech/IT services, heavy manufacturing, food, other).
  • Drafting due diligence reports (both U.S./German/EU).
  • Assisted in investigating and counseling a client in the financial services sector facing a cyber security incident.
  • Assisted in reviewing and assessing exfiltrated data for data breach notification und applicable U.S. law.
