ATLANTA (February 17, 2026) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (“SGR”) is pleased to announce the arrival of Jamie L. Graham and William O. Isaacs to the Firm’s Intellectual Property practice.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Jamie and Bill to the firm,” said Greg Kirsch, Head of the Intellectual Property practice. “Jamie brings extensive expertise with biotech, chemistry and life sciences patent law to the firm, and Bill’s aerospace engineering background will be especially valuable to our clients in that and related industries.”

Ms. Graham is Senior Counsel in the Intellectual Property practice in the firm’s Atlanta office and will lead the firm’s Biotech/Chemistry/Life Sciences patent team. She has over 30 years of experience advising companies, universities, and research organizations on U.S. and international patent and trademark matters, including IP strategy and portfolio management, patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses, IP due diligence, licensing support, and IP provisions in commercial and collaboration agreements. In addition to her law license, she is registered to practice patent law at the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and received her B.S. in Molecular Biology from Wellesley College, her M.S. in Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis from Emory University and her J.D. from Emory University School of Law.

Mr. Isaacs is also Senior Counsel in the Intellectual Property practice in the Firm’s Atlanta office. He is also a USPTO-registered patent attorney, with more than 25 years of experience and a background in aerospace engineering. Bill advises clients on protecting and leveraging innovation across complex engineering and emerging-technology environments, and he also serves as a Judge Advocate (Lieutenant Commander) in the JAG Corps, US Navy Reserve. He received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law.
