About Jamie

Jamie Graham is an intellectual property strategist with over 30 years of experience guiding life sciences and technology organizations through complex U.S. and international patent and trademark challenges. One of the first female patent attorneys in the Southeast registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office, Jamie built her career at the forefront of biotechnology and chemical innovation, shaping IP strategies for breakthroughs across diagnostics, biologics, pharmaceuticals, immunology, chemistry and medical devices.

Known for her ability to translate scientific innovation into durable global IP assets, Jamie advises companies at every stage of development—from early invention capture to worldwide portfolio management and enforcement. She evaluates invention disclosures, conducts patentability and freedom‑to‑operate analyses, oversees domestic and international prosecution, and ensures that product materials, collaborations, and commercial agreements safeguard critical proprietary technology. She also provides strategic guidance on licensing, dispute resolution, third‑party infringement issues, and expert witness testimony.

Jamie has relevant experience in‑house as Associate General Counsel, IP at Meso Scale Diagnostics, where she led company‑wide IP strategy and directed patent and trademark portfolio operations including product clearance. Previously, she served as Associate Director and Senior Counsel at Boehringer Ingelheim, advising global leaders within the Animal Health Patent group on portfolio strategy, due diligence, patent term issues, post‑grant matters, and collaborations with universities and industry partners. Before moving in-house, Jamie spent over two decades at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton (and predecessor firm Jones & Askew), where she led the Life Sciences and Chemistry team for 11 years.
