ATLANTA (July 13, 2026) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (“SGR”) is pleased to announce that Gregory J. Kirsch has been named to the Executive Committee of the Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance (GIPA). GIPA’s stated goal is to “provide the leadership and resources to make Georgia a global model for the most diverse, efficient, and effective intellectual property ecosystem to facilitate the creation, protection and enablement of intellectual property for the economic and social well-being of our citizens and improved quality of life in our communities”

Mr. Kirsch, Head of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice, has served as a board member of GIPA for many years, and SGR is a long-term sponsor of the organization. Most recently, SGR hosted the GIPA Startup Awards Pitch Competition & Ceremony in May 2026. SGR’s Intellectual Property Practice includes 55 IP practitioners, several of whom are involved in GIPA, including Senior Counsel Jamie Graham who serves as a Program Leader.
