About Ben

Ben Graham-Evans is our London office Managing Partner and co-founder of the firm’s UK business and has been at the forefront of its growth trajectory since we established in the UK in 2017. He is an English qualified international transaction lawyer with over 20 years of industry experience primarily helping international clients in the aviation finance, trading and leasing sector (these comprise major industry participants to individuals).

Ben is known for his no-nonsense commercial focus deploying legal skills to transact, negotiate and advise as required to get deals done. He has grown a significant legal team over the past decade with the hallmarks of collaboration towards an industry focused alignment and approach. He is a mentor to many and prefers a discrete, relationship driven approach to both team and client development. He encourages a team approach to enable clients to be serviced at scale. In doing so, Ben has actively encouraged clients to be serviced at the team level to ensure stability and scalability of service. This is only achievable when the team is well led and Ben looks after his team in a way few firms match and clients can sense that.

Outside of client work and team leadership responsibilities, Ben is an active networker within the aviation finance community including the International Society for Transport Aircraft Traders (ISTAT), he served as an officer on the International Bar Association’s Aviation Law Committee for several years and remains at the forefront of the development of the international aviation lawyer network L2B Aviation. He also works with colleagues to support the objectives of the Legal Advisory Panel to the Aviation Working Group. Ben works closely with colleagues in other disciplines (especially the growing UK disputes team) and has co-authored some recent material that was published in the journal Aviation & Space law about cut-through clauses and arbitration.
