About Sarah

Sarah Gottlieb helps businesses, executives, and creators protect their intangible assets. With a practice intersecting brand protection, competition, and freedom of expression, Sarah provides practical and strategic solutions to safeguard content, reputation, and competitive position. She advises clients on copyright, trademark, and trade secret disputes, as well as defamation claims, contract issues, and related business disputes. Sarah has litigated cases in federal courts nationwide, providing clients with strategic clarity and effective risk management in high-stakes matters.

Before enrolling in law school, Sarah worked in communications, including as a journalist and video producer. Her media background, coupled with her litigation experience, uniquely positions her to distill complex legal and technical issues into clear, compelling arguments necessary to drive effective results.

Prior to joining SGR, Sarah clerked for the Honorable Charlene E. Honeywell of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Sarah earned her J.D. from the Stetson University College of Law, graduating cum laude. She was Notes and Comments Editor on the Stetson Law Review, a member of the Honors Program, and a research assistant. Sarah’s law school honors include the Williams F. Blews Award for exemplary pro bono service. She has continued to contribute her time to pro bono matters during her legal career, reflecting a sustained commitment to community and access to justice.

Sarah is currently serving a one-year term as the President of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
