Smith, Gambrell & Russell Represents TransACT Communications in Acquisition of RightLabs

ATLANTA (October 22, 2018) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that the firm served as legal counsel to TransACT Communications, LLC (TransACT), a provider of education management software, in its acquisition of RightLabs, Inc. (RightLabs), a provider of web-based integrated business and education platforms. The transaction closed on September 14, 2018.

TransACT’s acquisition of the Canadian-based RightLabs enhances the software provider’s capabilities to better serve clients in the educational technology sector, as well as expand into applications which service businesses and non-profits.

The SGR legal team included Partner Nick Rueter and Associate Erin Peterson McCallum in the Atlanta Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. McMillan LLP served as local counsel in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
