ATLANTA (February 23, 2018) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that the firm served as legal counsel to the FORUM Media Group (FMG), an international media company, in its acquisition of Trade Press Media Group, Inc. (TPMG), a business-to-business media and event production company.

With headquarters in Merching, Germany and subsidiaries in 17 countries, the acquisition of the Milwaukee-based TPMG solidifies FMG’s presence in the U.S. In addition to acquiring 100 percent of the shares in TPMG, the transaction included the acquisition of all of the assets related to a joint venture founded in 2000 with ROC Exhibitions, which manages the event production business unit. TPMG will continue its operations out of Milwaukee as a subsidiary of FMG.
