About Todd

Todd S. Pickard is a transactional corporate and real estate lawyer with more than 30 years’ experience. He endeavors to work with his clients to determine both their needs and, often more importantly, those of their counter-party to structure and close successful transactions.

Over the years, Todd has represented cooperative apartment corporations and condominiums in all manner of legal and business issues. He has structured and closed on the purchase, sale, leasing, financing, refinancing and development of income-producing real property. In recent years, Todd has represented foreign purchasers of US real property, primarily multi-family and primarily from Israel and the Netherlands. In connection with those investments, he has prepared and negotiated partnership agreements, limited liability company operating agreements and other joint venture documents. His corporate practice includes both acquirers and acquired companies in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments as well as general counsel to operating businesses, entrepreneurs, and startups.

Todd is committed to the proper role of real estate and design in his community. As such, he is a long-time supporter of the Design Trust for Public Spaces, a not-for-profit dedicated to the future of public space in New York City. He also collects 20th Century furniture and art. On weekends, he is often on the East End of Long Island swimming, gardening and grilling.
