Madelyn Brenner

Madelyn E. Brenner is an associate in Smith, Gambrell & Russell's Jacksonville office. She concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation, handling contract, business, and insurance disputes, real property litigation, trust and estate matters, and appellate cases.

Prior to joining the firm, she served as a law clerk in Charleston, South Carolina, for Magistrate Judge Molly H. Cherry of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. In her clerkship, Madelyn researched complex legal issues, drafted reports and recommendations and orders in various civil matters, and assisted with hearings on motions, along with multiple trials conducted by consent. She also externed for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida during her time in law school.

Madelyn earned her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, graduating fourth in her class and earning membership in the Order of the Coif. She served as an Articles Editor of the Florida Law Review and received numerous book awards. While in law school, she gained experience in litigation, estate planning, corporate transactions, and guardianship matters through judicial, law firm, and public interest internships.
