About Laura

Laura Miller Andrew serves as a trusted advisor to employers and plan sponsors, working closely with clients to understand their business goals and helping them navigate the complex regulatory landscape surrounding employee benefits. She advises on all major aspects of employee benefits, including qualified and nonqualified plans, IRS and DOL compliance, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, and employment agreements. Clients also rely on Laura for practical, strategic guidance on health and welfare care–related matters, including health care reform and analysis, HIPAA privacy and security compliance, and state health care laws. Known for her pragmatic approach, Laura focuses on helping clients manage risk, respond to regulatory change, and implement solutions that work in real world business operations.

When not at work, Laura pursues her passion for animal-assisted therapy, working with her dog as an accredited registered assisted-animal activities therapy team, including the Caring Canines program at Mayo Clinic and Campus Canines program at the University of North Florida.

  • Advised a large organization on implementation and implications of a referenced based pricing model for medical benefits.
  • Analysis of the structure of multiple health plans in a controlled group of companies, and implementation of a streamlined design for a large health care organization. Analysis, review and migration of multiple retiree health plans to a single platform for a Fortune 100 Company.
  • Advised multiple religious affiliated organizations with special church plan issues for both retirement and welfare plans.
  • Assisted a government contractor with complex design and implementation of retirement and health and welfare plans for multiple employee units in compliance with government requirements.
