Nicole L. Kalkines

Nicole L. Kalkines is a results-driven commercial litigator who represents clients in a variety of civil litigation matters in state and federal courts. Nicole counsels clients across a variety of industries, providing practical and strategic guidance tailored to her their goals and business objectives.

Nicole takes an outcome-focused approach, working closely with clients at every stage of a matter—from early case assessment through resolution and appeal—to develop and execute strategies aligned with their objectives. Nicole is experienced in navigating high stakes matters and her litigation experience includes complex contract disputes and business torts, employment disputes, defense of actions brought under consumer protection statutes, trust and probate litigation, real property litigation, products liability defense, and insurance coverage disputes. 

Prior to joining Smith Gambrell & Russell, Nicole was a judicial intern for the Honorable Marcia Morales Howard in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. While in law school, Nicole served as a Notes Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law and was also a member of the Vanderbilt Moot Court Board. She received recognition for several academic accomplishments while in law school, including a Scholastic Excellence Award, Dean’s List, and the Lightfoot, Franklin, and White Best Oralist Award.
