Smith, Gambrell & Russell Expands Corporate Practice; Thomas Gallagher Joins Firm as Partner in New York Office

ATLANTA (September 7, 2016) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that Thomas S. Gallagher has joined its New York office as a partner as the firm expands the Corporate Practice.

“Thomas is a welcome addition to SGR’s growing presence in New York City,” said Stephen Forte, SGR’s managing partner. “His expertise and sophistication dealing with structuring funds and securitization vehicles adds a new dimension to our corporate practice.”

Mr. Gallagher focuses his practice on the representation of funds, financial entities, investment banks and consumer and commercial lenders in corporate, securities and regulatory matters. He creates vehicles for clients to monetize their financial assets and advises promoters and investment managers on structuring, formation and operation of U.S. and offshore funds. Mr. Gallagher also advises clients wishing to create internet-based market-place lending platforms, single-investor funds and private securitization vehicles. Through the development of creative strategies and approaches, he creates fund structures and special purpose vehicles that achieve clients’ business objectives.
