Smith, Gambrell & Russell Welcomes Josh Gentner to Global Transport and Corporate Practices
ATLANTA (January 18, 2018) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that Joshua D. Gentner has joined the firm’s Global Transport and Corporate Practices, based out of the New York office.
Mr. Gentner represents and counsels clients in connection with a wide variety of debt, equity and lease financings, including U.S. and cross-border leveraged leases, mortgage financings, operating leases, project financings, export credit agency supported financings and securitizations. In this capacity, he handles matters related to aircraft, rolling stock, vessels and other machinery and equipment financing. Mr. Gentner has extensive experience with cross-border leasing transactions, including those on behalf of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. In addition, he has represented major commercial airlines in bankruptcy proceedings and restructuring transactions.

In addition, Mr. Gentner has been selected by his peers as a Leading Lawyer in Corporate Finance. In 2016 and 2017, he was recommended by the Legal 500 United States guide in the Finance—Asset Finance and Leasing category.
Mr. Gentner is a graduate of Indiana University where he earned a B.A., majoring in history and political science. He received his J.D., cum laude, Order of Coif from Northwestern University School of Law.
