Smith Gambrell Russell Represents Silver Airways in $50 Million Recapitalization Portion of Strategic Growth Initiative

ATLANTA (February 11, 2022) – Smith Gambrell Russell (SGR) is pleased to announce that the firm served as legal counsel to Silver Airways (Silver), America’s leading independent regional airline, in its recent $50 million recapitalization, which is a critical part of the airline’s strategic growth plan. The new capital raise was executed through the placement of senior secured convertible notes to provide further support to Silver’s business plan and capital structure. Owned by affiliates of investment firm Versa Capital Management, LLC (Versa Capital), Silver Airways operates regional passenger networks in Florida, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean, and provides regional cargo services with five ATR-500 aircraft operating out of Ft. Worth, Texas.
