ATLANTA (November 7, 2018) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that the firm served as legal counsel to Alliance Realty Advisors, Inc., an Atlanta-based commercial real estate mortgage banking firm doing business as iCap Realty Advisors (iCap), in the acquisition of substantially all of its assets by Walker & Dunlop, LLC, one of United States’ largest commercial real estate services and finance companies.

As a part of Walker & Dunlop’s Capital Markets group, the iCap team will benefit from a national platform, extensive client and lender base and direct agency access. The acquisition of an Atlanta-based mortgage banking firm expands Walker & Dunlop’s capital markets’ presence in the southeast.

The SGR legal team included Partner John Ethridge, Jr. and Associate Jonathan Hurt in the Atlanta Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.
