Smith, Gambrell & Russell Represents German Company WST in Majority Acquisition of California’s GB CNC

ATLANTA (April 25, 2018) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that the firm served as legal counsel to WST Präzisionstechnik GmbH (WST), a leading supplier of precision turned parts in its majority acquisition of GB CNC, LLC, a turn-mill center parts maker.

Headquartered in Löffingen, Germany, WST acquired Fountain Valley, California based GB CNC as an important developmental step in its strategic growth into the American market. WST is a market leader in the manufacture and supply of precision turned parts for major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers serving primarily the automotive sector. The acquisition of GB CNC, with its primary service within the aerospace sector, provides WST entry into one of the industry’s largest markets worldwide. With its production facility just outside Los Angeles, GB CNC will operate as a subsidiary of WST.

The SGR Atlanta legal team included Partner Rett Peaden in the Corporate Practice, Associate Heiko Gruenwald in the Corporate and International Practices, and Partner Florian Stamm in the International and Site Selection Practices.
