Smith, Gambrell & Russell Represents Big V Acquisitions in 2 Shopping Center Acquisitions

ATLANTA (September 6, 2018) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce the firm served as legal counsel to Big V Acquisitions, a subsidiary of Big V Property Group, in two of its recent shopping center acquisitions. The New York-based investment management company acquired Willow Oak Plaza in Waynesboro, Virginia and Belvedere Plaza in Anderson, South Carolina.

The two recent acquisitions bring Big V’s portfolio to 40 neighborhood and community shopping centers, totaling more than 4.4 million square feet in New York state and throughout the Southeast U.S. Willow Oak Plaza is a 163,000-square-foot shopping center located near Waynesboro’s main retail corridor. Anchored by Peebles, Roses, Ashley Furniture, and Advance Auto, the center is 86% occupied. Belvedere Plaza, a 151,985-square-foot shopping center in Anderson’s premier retail corridor, is 91% occupied. Anchor tenants include Hamrick's, Famer's Furniture, and Rugged Wearhouse.

The SGR New York legal team included Real Estate Practice Section Head and Partner Sean Altschul and Real Estate Practice Associate Dexterrie Ramirez.
