Smith, Gambrell & Russell Attorney Emily Ward Elected Treasurer of the Atlanta Bar Association

ATLANTA (April 20, 2021) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that attorney Emily C. Ward has been elected treasurer of the Atlanta Bar Association for a term beginning June 1 through May 31, 2022. Ms. Ward was previously Member-at-Large of the Board of Directors.

An associate in SGR’s Litigation Practice, Ms. Ward’s practice concentrates on white-collar defense and civil litigation including healthcare, business, and environmental litigation, as well as administrative and regulatory matters. In addition to her involvement with the Atlanta Bar, Ms. Ward is active with the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and Stonewall Bar Association. She was selected as a member of the State Bar of Georgia Leadership Academy Class of 2019 and has served as a board member of the Atlanta Bar Association Women in the Profession Section since 2013 and is the Immediate Past Chair, and is the Incoming Chair of the Atlanta Bar Criminal Law Section. Additionally, she enjoys membership with the Women’s White Collar Defense Association and Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
