SGR Partner Marc D. Latman Named Chair of Aviation and Space Finance Committee of ABA’s Forum on Air & Space Law
ATLANTA (April 2, 2018) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that firm Partner Marc D. Latman has been named Chair of the newly formed Aviation and Space Finance Committee of the American Bar Association’s (ABA’s) Forum on Air and Space Law. The committee was formed to be the destination of choice for in-house, government and external lawyers in the world of aviation finance and leasing.
A Partner in SGR’s Global Transport Practice, Marc Latman advises clients on aircraft equipment financing, leasing, acquisition and divesture, equipment financing and secured lending transactions. His membership in the ABA has also included the Governing Committee of the Forum on Air and Space Law and service as the Chair and Vice Chair of the ABA’s Aircraft Finance Subcommittee. Mr. Latman also serves on the International Registry (for Aircraft) Advisory Board established in connection with the Cape Town Convention. Outside of the law, Mr. Latman is passionate about the helping of others, exemplified by his service on the National Advisory Board of Youth About Business, a national organization that introduces underserved high school students to the world of business through educational programs and “business school” camps.
