ATLANTA (November 7, 2017) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that firm client, Heritage Growth Partners LLC (Heritage), has been recognized with a 2017 ACG Atlanta Deals of the Year Award for its growth recapitalization investment deal of East West Manufacturing, LLC. The award was presented on November 2 at the Atlanta History Center.

Through the Deals of the Year Awards, the Atlanta Chapter of The Association for Corporate Growth® (ACG), a global professional organization with the mission of Driving Middle-Market Growth®, recognizes transactions completed from January 2016 through June 2017 that had a major impact on business in Atlanta. Once nominees submit transaction details, the judging panel, consisting of the area’s corporate development executives, reviews the submissions. Then ACG Atlanta verifies the nominations and announces a list of finalists. Winners are revealed at an official awards ceremony. Deals were judged on, but not limited to, the following criteria: potential economic development impact, strategic sectors for our ACG Chapter areas, product of service with potential for significant local and global impact, involvement of Atlanta investors, executives, and serial entrepreneurs.

Attorneys John Ethridge and Nick Rueter in SGR’s Corporate Practice served as legal advisors to Heritage in the East West Manufacturing growth recapitalization transaction. In support of the Company’s growing operations and future acquisition initiatives, the transaction was led by a private investment group with offices in New York and Atlanta, in partnership with Heritage.
