Smith Gambrell Russell Bolsters Tampa Office with Hire of Litigator Michael Kolcun

ATLANTA (September 26, 2023) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that Michael Kolcun has joined the Firm as a partner based in the Tampa office. Prior to joining SGR, Mr. Kolcun was affiliated with Adams and Reese LLP in Tampa and Robins Kaplan LLP in New York.

Mr. Kolcun’s practice is focused in commercial and intellectual property disputes, including breach of contract, partnership/joint venture and shareholder claims, copyright and trademark infringement, and other business torts. He represents a range of clients from large corporations to start-ups, as well as investors and individuals. As an experienced litigator, Mr. Kolcun has prosecuted and defended numerous actions in state courts in Florida and New York, and in federal district, appellate, and bankruptcy courts and arbitration tribunals throughout the U.S.

Mr. Kolcun is a member of the Tampa Bay American Inn of Court, the Federal Bar Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida State University College of Law Alumni Association.

Mr. Kolcun received his B.A. degree from Florida State University and his J.D. degree from Florida State University College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Florida and New York.
