Amelia Wadsworth is an Associate in the Litigation Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Ms. Wadsworth advises clients on insurance, compliance, and regulatory matters, drawing on prior experience in claims management and financial crime compliance within the London insurance market.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Wadsworth served as a Claims and Compliance Assistant at Atrium Underwriters Ltd, where she supported claims handlers and underwriters across multiple lines of business, assisted with compliance reporting, investigated financial crime related queries and coordinated the review of non-disclosure agreements. She was also involved in diversity and community initiatives as part of the firm’s Women at Atrium, Sports and Social, and Giving at Atrium committees.
Ms. Wadsworth is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. She earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury and completed her Professional Legal Studies at the College of Law in New Zealand. She also holds the LM1 Certificate in London Market Insurance Essentials and the Lloyd’s Market Association’s Financial Crime certification.
Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Wadsworth is a former elite squash player who represented New Zealand in multiple international competitions.
