Terry Ferraro Schwartz is a Partner in the Corporate Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Ms. Schwartz’s practice is primarily devoted to securities law, corporate governance and general corporate law representation of the Firm’s clients whose securities are publicly traded. She also has experience in mergers and acquisitions and bank regulatory matters for smaller community banks.
Ms. Schwartz’s experience includes public company securities reporting and compliance matters, corporate governance, initial and follow-on public and private offerings of securities, going private transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. She has represented public company clients in a number of different industries, including automotive sales and finance, banking, gaming, health information contract management services, medical technology devices, retail floor coverings, retail furniture/ home furnishings, satellite communications equipment, school bus manufacturing, software technology for the retail and hospitality industries, steel manufacturing, trucking and transportation and wireless telecommunications.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, Ms. Schwartz received her B.S. degree, summa cum laude, in Criminal Justice from Armstrong State College, now part of Georgia Southern University. She earned her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia. During law school, she was a member of the Order of the Coif and served on the Editorial Board of the Georgia Law Review.
