Among various intellectual property, commercial, and general corporate matters, Mr. Tanis advises businesses with respect to entity structure, partnering, strategic alliances and joint ventures, and the development, ownership and licensing of technology and other intellectual property and interests. He also provides counsel on matters involving software, hardware, e-commerce, cloud and other hosting matters, databases, privacy, and Internet projects.

Additionally, Mr. Tanis has extensive experience acquiring, expanding, refinancing, and restructuring private sector companies, services, manufacturing, distribution and supply agreements, outsourcing arrangements, and other general corporate and commercial transactions, both domestic and foreign.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Tanis was a member of the Technology Transactions practice at K&L Gates.

Mr. Tanis earned his B.A. from Calvin College, and his J.D. (with honors) from Rutgers University.
