About Sabrina

Sabrina Smith represents businesses, fiduciaries, and individuals in complex civil and commercial disputes, guiding matters from inception through resolution. She routinely counsels clients on day-to-day legal and business issues, helping them navigate risk, resolve disputes efficiently, and make strategic decisions in fast-moving industries. Sabrina also has extensive experience routinely serving as outside general counsel for a multitude of clients in the construction and real estate industries, advising on contract negotiations, operational disputes, risk management, regulatory compliance, and litigation strategy. She regularly works with business owners, developers, contractors, property owners, and fiduciaries to provide practical solutions tailored to each client’s operational and long-term business objectives. Sabrina's practice also includes construction litigation, representing clients in disputes involving construction defects, payment and lien claims, and contract disputes. She is an active member of the Northeast Florida Builders Association, further deepening her insight into the industry's operational and legal challenges.

Drawing on her litigation background, Sabrina advises clients with an eye toward both immediate business needs and potential future disputes, helping them proactively minimize exposure while positioning matters for successful resolution if litigation becomes necessary. Clients rely on her for responsive counsel, strategic problem-solving, and practical guidance through high-stakes and often sensitive matters involving commercial relationships, real estate transactions, fiduciary duties, and business operations.

Sabrina began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit, where she tried thirteen cases from jury selection through verdict, gaining substantial courtroom experience early in her practice. Prior to joining Smith Gambrell & Russell, she practiced commercial litigation at a national law firm and later expanded her practice at a local boutique firm, representing clients in a wide range of civil matters, including probate, trust and fiduciary litigation.

An active member of the Jacksonville community, Sabrina serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; on the Board of Directors for Leadership Jacksonville as Governance Chair; on the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville as Governance Chair; and as Vice Chair of the City of Jacksonville’s Hispanic American Advisory Board. Sabrina is also a Jacksonville Business Journal 40 Under 40 Honoree and recipient of the Florida Bar 36 under 36 Professionalism Award.
