About Sam
Samer N. Aref is an associate who focuses his practice on general and complex litigation – including class actions and representative actions under the California Private Attorney Generals Act – labor and employment matters, and securities brokerage litigation and arbitration. He represents clients in a broad range of contentious matters, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination and retaliation claims, wrongful termination actions, disability accommodation issues, misclassification claims, and regulatory investigations.
Drawing on experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants, Sam brings a well-rounded perspective to litigation strategy and dispute resolution. He has successfully first chaired multiple FINRA arbitrations and has drafted successful motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment in federal court. He also counsels clients on employment compliance matters, workplace policies, and risk management strategies.
Outside of his practice, Sam enjoys taking golf lessons, baking, tending to his plants, and playing with his incorrigible pup.
