About Jennifer
Jennifer Rissier focuses her practice on estate planning, trust administration, and trust litigation. She enjoys helping individuals create estate plans that fit their specific needs. Her goal is to simplify the estate planning process and educate clients on California laws to create personalized estate plans, including advising on transferring business interests. In addition, Jennifer provides a calming presence to loved ones confronted by the loss of their family member during a trust administration that includes straightforward advice to individual and institutional Trustees. Jennifer’s expertise includes all aspects of litigation in the area of trust and estates which informs her advice to her clients in the planning and administration stages.
Jennifer was an attorney at several Firms in the Los Angeles area, and started her legal career at a litigation law firm focusing on elder abuse litigation. Jennifer managed her own practice which focused on wills and trusts from 2013-2022.

Representative Matters
- Represented four sisters in challenge by the Trustee brother to the handling of trust assets after their mother’s death. Matter successfully resolved through mediation, with family relationships remaining intact.
- Defended an Executor against claims from adult children of a prior marriage who alleged that the executor did not properly administer the estate. Matter successfully resolved through negotiation.
- Administered an estate valued at over $80 million dollar requiring the valuation of a variety of assets including partial interests in multiple limited liability companies and real estate.
- Represented Co-Trustees in administering a Trust wherein the surviving spouse and the Co-Trustees disagreed upon how to fund two sub-trusts: one to benefit the surviving spouse and one to, ultimately, benefit the decedent spouse’s children from a prior relationship. Matter successfully resolved after two mediations.
- Represented an Institutional Trustee in administering a Trust with combatant beneficiaries who lived outside of California.
