About Preston

Preston focuses his practice on construction litigation, construction contract drafting, and project counseling. Preston has experience representing owners, developers, contractors, governments, and design professionals in high-stakes construction disputes. Drawing on his litigation experience, Preston develops practical, results-oriented strategies tailored to the technical and document-intensive nature of construction disputes.

In addition to his disputes practice, Preston regularly advises clients throughout all phases of the construction process—from project development and contract formation through project execution and close-out. He has experience drafting, structuring, and negotiating construction agreements, including industry-standard forms and bespoke contracts, with a focus on risk allocation, dispute avoidance, and compliance. Known for his pragmatic approach and attention to detail, Preston works closely with clients to simplify complex legal and technical challenges and to achieve efficient, favorable outcomes

Prior to joining SGR, Preston was an Associate at a national law firm focusing on construction and infrastructure law and government contracting. He also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Benjamin W. Cheesbro of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia.
