About Alexander

Alexander A. Pabon is a commercial litigator who concentrates his practice in antitrust, competition, and complex business disputes. While at SGR, Alexander has represented clients in a range of matters involving breach of contract, warranty, antitrust, and complex business disputes. Alexander provides practical problem-solving, close attention to detail, and rigorous advocacy to the clients he serves. He is also experienced in all stages of litigation, from pre-suit preparation to appellate proceedings. Alexander’s adaptability and commitment to understanding his clients’ businesses have allowed him to serve clients across a range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, health care, and agriculture.

Before joining SGR, Alexander served as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Robert E. Wier of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Originally from Peoria, Illinois, Alex is proud to call the Land of Lincoln home. Outside of work, he enjoys connecting with his family’s Colombian heritage, cooking, literature, soccer, rock climbing with his spouse, Blythe, and spending time with his son.

Representative Matters

  • Part of defense team representing chicken broiler producer in federal antitrust case brought against entire U.S. chicken broiler producer industry alleging supply reduction, market manipulation, and bid-rigging conspiracies in the broiler chicken market under both state and federal laws.
  • Represented in various stages of litigation and served as second-chair in a jury trial in a breach of express and implied warranties case which resulted in a seven-figure award for a manufacturing client.
  • Assisted in various stages of litigation defending a data industry client against group boycott, unilateral refusal-to-deal, tying, and conspiracy to monopolize claims.
  • Assisted a partner who, as local counsel, counseled a pharmaceutical company to respond to and secure a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission regarding a merger objection.
  • Assisted a partner who obtained dismissal of money laundering conspiracy charges against a corporate executive in connection with a bid-rigging investigation by the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice.
  • Assisted a partner in defeating plaintiff’s motion for preliminary injunction against data industry client on claims of trademark infringement, unfair competition, and tortious interference with contract and prospective economic advantage.
