Maya Dudley

Maya Dudley is an Associate in Smith, Gambrell & Russell's Construction Practice. Maya focuses her practice on energy law and energy transactions, supporting clients through strategic deals and complex commercial matters essential to the development, financing, and successful operation of energy projects.

Prior to joining the firm, Maya was an Associate at a global law firm where she advised owners, developers, sponsors, and subcontractors on the procurement and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects across the United States, with experience in various alternative delivery methods including public-private partnerships (P3), design-build, and progressive design-build. She has experience drafting, structuring, and negotiating construction agreements in the transportation, water and wastewater, social, and renewable energy sectors. Maya brings a unique blend of legal, public policy, and administrative expertise to complex construction and infrastructure matters.

• Represented owners in the P3 procurement of student housing, bridges, toll roads, climate resiliency projects, and airport renovations.
• Represented O&M Subcontractors in their bids to and with developer teams for large P3 infrastructure projects.
• Represented equity sponsor-bidders on their bids and proposals for large P3 infrastructure projects including RFP response and contract negotiation.
• Represented the Environmental Protection Agency as external lender’s counsel under their Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act loan program.
• Advised owner-client on contract administration including change in law disputes, warranties and defects, and bid protests.
