Harry's Practice
Representative Matters
- In a significant number of matters, Harry has represented the transfer of wealthy businesses from one generation to another with minimization of transfer taxation and with careful concern to the successor management team and the smooth transfer of ownership and management. Some of these matters involved small privately held companies and some of these matters involved multiple sellers and purchasers and more than $100M.
- In addition, Harry has guided countless families in planning the transfer of wealth from one generation to another, while minimizing the transfer tax impact on the family and maximizing the efficiency of the transfer by carefully counseling how the management of wealth could best be handled by younger generation members. This effort includes how to protect family wealth from potential creditors and failed marriages of younger generational members and preserving the family wealth for generations to come. In addition, Harry often assists clients in coordinating charitable planning into the overall estate plan.
