Matthew Field advises founders, emerging companies, venture capital funds, angel investors, venture studios, incubators, family offices, and other stakeholders on a broad range of transactional and strategic matters. His practice spans venture capital and angel financings, equity compensation, corporate governance, intellectual property transactions, general corporate matters, fund formation, and mergers and acquisitions. Although Matthew is deeply experienced in helping growth-oriented and established companies navigate complex corporate and commercial transactions and strategic partnerships, he is particularly passionate about working with founders raising their first rounds of financing. Matthew often serves as outside general counsel to his clients. He brings a practical, business-minded approach to legal counseling, grounded in more than a decade of advising innovative clients through all phases of development, from idea through exit.
