Erin P. McCallum is a Partner in the Corporate Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.

Erin represents domestic and international clients in a variety of corporate and transactional matters, with specialties in mergers and acquisitions, investment transactions, and outside general counsel services.

Her practice is centered on serving as trusted legal counsel to clients at every stage of the business lifecycle, with routine representation of high-growth companies from inception through maturity. Erin takes a practical, business-oriented approach to legal issues that is aligned with each client’s strategic and commercial goals.

Erin has more than a decade of experience that primarily focuses on complex business transactions, such as representing buyers and sellers in strategic and private equity-backed mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures involving both public and privately-held companies. She also advises companies and investors in venture capital financings, recapitalizations, and other equity and debt investment transactions.

Erin also routinely serves as outside general counsel to clients on a wide variety of business matters. She advises emerging companies on corporate structuring, equity compensation and shareholder agreements, assists established businesses on commercial growth initiatives in domestic and cross-border transactions and counsels businesses and equity holders on pre-sale planning and succession strategies. Erin frequently serves as the main point of contact for clients for all legal needs and coordinates with subject-matter experts across the law firm to provide comprehensive and seamless support. She works with clients across several industries, with a focus on technology, manufacturing, transportation, and professional services.

Erin received her A.B.J. in public relations, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia. She continued her education at the University of Georgia where she earned her J.D. from the School of Law, cum laude. She is licensed to practice law with the State Bar of Georgia.

Outside of the office, Erin is involved with many community and business organizations, including the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Atlanta CEO Council, and Technology Association of Georgia (TAG). Erin is an Atlanta native and spends her free time with her husband and two children.
