Smith Gambrell Russell Elects 11 Attorneys to the Firm’s Partnership Across 6 Offices and 6 Practice Areas

ATLANTA (January 5, 2023) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Stefan Buske, Sasha N. Greenberg, Gareth Hawes, Austin J. Hemmer, Edward J. Heppt, Mickey L. Jett, Indhira A. LaPuma, Jennifer P. Lawson, Tawny D. Mack, Erin P. McCallum, and Monica P. Witte to its partnership effective January 1, 2023.

Dr. Stefan Buske is a partner in SGR’s Munich, Germany office. Dr. Buske is a member of the Firm’s German, Corporate, and Global Transport practices focused on international structured finance, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, leasing, and project financing.

Sasha Greenberg is a partner in the Atlanta Litigation Practice. Ms. Greenberg’s practice focuses on serving the diverse needs of clients in commercial litigation and employment-related matters.

Gareth Hawes is a partner in the London Global Transport Practice. Mr. Hawes focuses on advising aircraft leasing companies, airlines and financial institutions on commercial and corporate aviation transactions.

Austin Hemmer is a partner in the Atlanta Litigation Practice. Mr. Hemmer has a broad practice representing businesses and individuals in complex commercial and class action litigation, including in the areas of business and shareholder disputes, securities litigation, and trade secret misappropriation.

Edward Heppt is a partner in the New York Litigation Practice. Mr. Heppt focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, regularly representing clients in state and federal court and in arbitration.

Mickey Jett is a partner in the Charlotte Global Transport Practice. Mr. Jett represents financial institutions, lenders and lessors in leveraged finance, secured and unsecured lending transactions, and equipment finance transactions with an emphasis on business aircraft and rail equipment.

Indhira LaPuma is a partner in the Atlanta Intellectual Property Practice. Ms. LaPuma uses her technical background in physics and her experience working with Fortune 500 companies to help clients develop and maintain robust IP portfolios.

Jennifer Lawson is a partner in the Jacksonville Litigation Practice. Ms. Lawson’s practice is devoted to labor and employment and commercial litigation, representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law and businesses in contractual and litigation disputes.

Tawny Mack is a partner in the Atlanta Construction Practices. Ms. Mack is a full-service construction lawyer who assists clients across diverse industries, including energy, large-scale commercial, and infrastructure.

Erin McCallum is a partner in the Atlanta Corporate Practice, representing domestic and international clients in a wide variety of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border commercial transactions, and general corporate representation.

Monica Witte is a partner in the Atlanta Litigation Practice. Ms. Witte focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation including CERCLA, ERISA, corporate securities, and residential mortgage-backed securities litigation matters.
