Katharine Rowe is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Practice at Smith Gambrell & Russell, LLP. She is also Co-Chair of the Entertainment Practice.
Ms. Rowe advises clients in matters involving intellectual property (copyright and trademark), marketing, publishing, and licensing issues. She represents clients in varied fields, including insurance, transportation, retail sales, apparel, real estate, product manufacturing and distribution, hospitality, outdoor recreation, publishing, entertainment and visual arts, among other areas. Ms. Rowe handles trademark portfolios for many clients and assists her clients in developing and implementing an intellectual property global protection strategy. She reviews client advertising campaigns for legal compliance, provides guidance on sweepstakes and contest promotions, and handles complex intellectual property-related transactions. Katharine Rowe is Florida Board Certified in Intellectual Property and a member of the Board of Trustees of Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience, a University of Florida research institute.
Ms. Rowe received her B.A. degree in History and English Literature from the University of Michigan in 1980, where she was a James B. Angell Scholar. She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1984, an Edward Hennessey Scholar. Ms. Rowe is admitted to practice in New York and in Florida. She is Board Certified in Intellectual Property Law in Florida.
