Her practice includes business and professional visas, labor certifications, immigrant visas, consular representation and citizenship for foreign executives, managers and professionals. Ms. Sharifi as well advises employers on compliance procedures in verifying the work eligibility of all new employees as required under the I-9 “employer sanctions” provisions of federal law. Representative clients include international companies, technology firms and U.S subsidiaries of foreign corporations engaged in the computer, communications, chemical and engineering industries, among others.
Ms. Sharifi received her B.S. degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1983 and her J.D. degree from Georgia State University in 1991.
Ms. Sharifi is fluent in Farsi and is admitted to the Georgia bar. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL).
