Eleda Plouch is a Scientific Advisor in the Intellectual Property Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Ms. Plouch currently advises on chemistry and technical subject matter in the fields of biotech and chemical patent practice. As an undergraduate, Ms. Plouch was awarded a B.S. in Chemistry where she was on the Dean’s List all 8 semesters, and where she also obtained experience in microbiology. Ms. Plouch is now a doctoral candidate in chemistry at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, where, amongst other projects, she is conducting research into the chemical synthesis of macrocyclic peptides within the family of ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptides (RiPPs).
