John Michael Neubert is an Associate in the Corporate Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
John Michael advises clients on a wide range of domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, with experience in buy-side acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, mergers, growth equity investments, divestitures, and recapitalizations. He regularly coordinates with specialists across disciplines to address complex issues, and he works closely with clients to oversee all aspects of deal execution. He also counsels’ companies on day-to-day corporate and governance matters.
John Michael earned his Juris Doctor from University of Notre Dame Law School. While in law school, he studied in London as a participant in Notre Dame’s London Law Programme and had his Note on Libor Phaseout chosen for publication by the University of Michigan’s Business & Entrepreneurial Law Review journal. He attended Texas Christian University as a Chancellor Scholar with a full-tuition merit scholarship where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Comparative Religious Studies from Texas Christian University.
In his free time, John Michael enjoys playing rugby and tennis.
