James R. McCachren, III

James R. McCachren, III is a partner in the Jacksonville office of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.

He practices general civil litigation, with a concentration in complex commercial and business litigation, real property, trust and estate litigation.

Mr. McCachren earned his B.S.B.A. (Finance), with high honors, in 1990 from the University of Florida, where he was on the Dean’s List and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Lambda Delta and Golden Key. He received his J.D. degree, with honors, in 1993 from the University of Florida, where he was on the Dean’s List. During law school Mr. McCachren was also the Management Editor of the Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy and the Student Articles Editor of the Florida Journal of International Law.

Mr. McCachren is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. McCachren is also a member of the Florida Bar Association.
