Smith Gambrell Russell to Relocate Chicago Office to 155 North Wacker

CHICAGO (September 10, 2024) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce the relocation of its Chicago office to 155 North Wacker Dr. SGR will occupy 57,000 square feet of state-of-the-art office space spanning the building’s 30th and 31st floors beginning in early 2026.

Developed in 2009 by the John Buck Company, 155 North Wacker offers cutting-edge business features and outstanding energy efficiency. The building is Wired Certified Platinum, SmartScore Platinum, and has earned a WELL Health-Safety Rating. With full-height, energy-efficient glass and column-free bays, 155 North Wacker also boasts a tenant conference center, first class fitness center and more.

Forte, SGR’s managing partner and chair of the executive committee. “We are pleased to have executed this lease and look forward to a new, modern space capable of accommodating us as we continue to grow.”

The firm’s Chicago office opened in 2022 when the firm combined with Figliulo & Silverman, P.C. and grew significantly through a combination with Freeborn & Peters LLP in 2023. SGR’s current Chicago office is located at 311 S. Wacker, where the former Freeborn & Peters LLP had maintained its offices since 1992.

Meredith O’Connor and Matt Carolan of JLL served as the firm’s broker in the transaction.
