Smith Gambrell Russell Unveils Modern, New Logo as Flagship Office Relocates to 1105 West Peachtree

ATLANTA (September 7, 2021) – Smith Gambrell Russell (SGR) is pleased to announce a refreshed brand identity, along with the relocation of its headquarters office to a state-of-the-art space within Midtown Atlanta’s new 1105 West Peachtree project. The firm joins innovators like Google who will call the new, mixed-used development home.

SGR is unveiling a modern logo and brand identity, which reflects its legacy as a leading global business services firm. Since 1893, the firm has provided its clients with swift, expert and cost-effective legal services to businesses on the cutting-edge of their fields. With its worldwide reach, including 10 offices throughout the United States and Europe, SGR is recognized as a progressive and distinguished firm with legal and business expertise in Aviation, Construction, Energy and Environmental, Entertainment, Corporate and M&A, Financial Services, Health Care, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Real Estate, and Technology.

“Our logo symbolizes the connections that we bridge with dual legal and business insight,” said Stephen Forte, Chairman and Managing Partner. “It’s modern, clean lines further emphasize our work on the cutting-edge of business innovation today, and this overall look and feel has been incorporated into the design of our new offices at 1105 West Peachtree. We are eager to welcome our team, clients and community partners to our flagship location in Midtown Atlanta.”

SGR has claimed five floors of 1105 West Peachtree, a multi-tower project developed by Selig Development. The building shares SGR’s commitment to sustainability, pursuing at a minimum LEED Certification, and featuring natural light, locally sourced building materials, décor and furniture, air ionization and artwork from local and regional artists. Additional features for SGR attorneys and staff include access to the ninth floor, open-air Sky Plaza with private office patios, flexible meeting, entertaining and dining spaces, a wellness room, and private mothers’ lounges on each floor. Each of the firm’s offices are outfitted with ergonomic furniture, along with a sit-to-stand desk and Aeron chair for every employee.

Tom Hong, Head of SGR’s Corporate Department and Firm Finance Partner added, “As the firm continued to grow with new locations and practice areas, our flagship office space and our brand needed to reflect that evolution. We have realized that vision with a new office and reimagined brand which we hope will inspire and nurture our employees while welcoming our clients and visitors.”

SGR began its relocation to 1105 West Peachtree in late August with full occupancy expected after Labor Day. SGR continues to follow guidance from the CDC and local authorities to curb the spread of COVID-19 while welcoming employees to their new offices.

Jay Schwartz, SGR Partner and Head of the Relocation Committee, also added, “SGR thanks the consultants and contractors that assisted us with the build, design and move. This includes Selig Enterprises, Cushman & Wakefield, ASD Sky, Humphries and Company, and ConsultArt, Inc.”
