Attorney – Global Transport Practice
New York, New York

SUMMARY
Growing AMLAW 200 Law firm with a NYC office seeking a mid- to senior-level aircraft financing attorney to join our Global Transport Practice. A successful candidate for this position will be a practical, commercial-minded attorney with a strong background in commercial aviation financing, including operating leasing and aircraft trading transactions. For the right candidate this is an excellent opportunity to take your career to the next level with a Chambers-ranked aircraft financing practice group and be an important, relied upon team member.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Heavy drafting and negotiating of complex documents/contracts for domestic and international aircraft financing transactions
  • Frequent, direct interaction with clients and with opposing counsel
  • Provide trusted, informed and practical legal guidance to clients on a wide range of transactional and legal issues
  • Team-oriented approach with the attorney candidate sometimes being the lead and responsible for the transaction and the team bellow and other times working as part of a team supervised by a partner
  • Mentoring more junior attorneys and paralegals

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a wide-range of domestic and cross-border commercial aviation financing, including lending/borrowing, operating leasing and aircraft trading
  • Relevant transactional drafting and negotiating experience
  • Organized, excellent communication skills (internally, client-facing and opposing counsel-facing) and team-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to manage others
  • Ability to balance problem-solving and “closing” mindset with the need to protect the company
  • 6-9 years of transactional experience and 5 years of aircraft financing experience

Associate Attorney – Employment Law | Litigation
Jacksonville, Florida

SUMMARY
SGR is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with experience in Employment Law and related litigation to join the team. Traditional Labor experience is a plus. Our national practice provides the opportunity to represent clients throughout the country and to be part of a vibrant growth-oriented team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates must possess top academic credentials, strong legal research, writing and analytical skills
  • Candidates must have a thorough understanding of civil litigation procedures and experience working on litigation matters
  • Candidates must also exhibit strong organizational, time management, and project management skills and be able to communicate and interact well with clients and opposing counsel

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the defense of agency charges of discrimination, lawsuits involving a broad range of labor and employment related claims and advice and counseling involving similar issues
  • Depending on level of experience, the Associate will interview witnesses, prepare witnesses for testimony, conduct depositions, and attend hearings
  • Advise and train employers on a wide range of employment laws and regulations
  • Conduct legal research and effectively and persuasively write briefs and motions in all phases of litigation
  • Cultivate productive and effective relationships with clients
