Svetlana Zagorina is an Associate in the Private Wealth Services Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Ms. Zagorina focuses on the areas of estate administration and estate and tax planning. She appreciates both the practicality and complexity of trusts and estates and tax law and how important a role these particular fields of law play in mapping out the financial course of a person’s life. She represents individual and corporate fiduciaries and beneficiaries in various trust and estate administration matters, including complex fiduciary accountings, estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns, federal estate tax audits, and estate litigation.
Ms. Zagorina is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey. She is a member of the Tax Section of the New York State Bar Association, and New York City Bar Association Committee on Trusts, Estates and Surrogate’s Courts.
Ms. Zagorina received her B.A. from New York University in 2003, and her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2008, where she was a member of the St. John’s Law Review. She received her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 2012. She is fluent in Russian.
