About Jamey
Jamey A. Medlin has counselled clients on a range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including:
- The design, implementation, and day-to-day administration of qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, executive compensation arrangements, and health and welfare plans;
- Designing and drafting 401(k) and other qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements, executive contracts, and health and welfare plans;
- Counseling clients regarding Code Section 409A compliance;
- Advising investment managers, insurance companies, and other financial institutions regarding compliance with ERISA’s fiduciary duty and prohibited transaction rules; and
- Preparing SEC disclosures; and providing advice regarding employee benefits and executive compensation issues arising in mergers and acquisitions.
Before joining Smith Gambrell & Russell, Jamey was an employee benefits and executive compensation attorney at law firms in Atlanta and Chicago. While in law school, she was a member of the DePaul Law Review and Order of the Coif.
