Kenn Bruley serves clients seeking comprehensive patent procurement and portfolio management services, with a distinctive focus on mechanical and electromechanical technologies. He helps clients navigate complex patent landscapes by providing clear, strategic counsel on patentability, infringement, validity, and design strategies to mitigate risks. His extensive technical background and international patent experience enable him to deliver practical clarity and alignment with business objectives.
Kenn is a partner and integral member of the patent team, concentrating on patent procurement both domestically and internationally. He advises clients on managing their patent portfolios and offers formal opinions on patentability, infringement, noninfringement, validity, invalidity, and design strategies to avoid potential infringement issues. His practice spans a broad spectrum of mechanical and electromechanical technologies, including nuclear reactor components, power generation systems, radioisotope production and transport, power tools, roller bearings, automated conveyor assemblies, orthopedic rehabilitation devices, internal combustion engine components, lawn and garden equipment, railway car components, agricultural equipment, food preparation equipment, cotton baling and bagging devices, handheld drilling equipment, and industrial earth-boring equipment.
Before entering law, Kenn attended the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a Nuclear Engineering Officer aboard the U.S.S. California. He went on to earn his law degree from the University of Georgia.
