About Shimpei
Shimpei Kawasaki is the founder of Kawasaki Law Office PLLC, and he has extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry in both New York City and in Japan. He is currently serving as the general counsel to many hospitality businesses in New York City. He provides a wide range of services to those in the hospitality industry, including liquor licenses, commercial leases, corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, employment/labor matters, and commercial landlord/tenant disputes. Shimpei services as the Firm’s Japan Team New York representative.
After graduating from Florida Coastal School of Law and earning his Juris Doctorate, Shimpei provided legal assistance on a contractual basis to top law firms in NYC for antitrust litigations involving Japanese corporations. Shimpei is fluent in Japanese and is well-versed in Japanese business culture. When Shimpei is not in the office, he enjoys cooking for his family, dancing with his daughter, walking his dog, and training in Muay Thai.
